About

About Me

Evan Tynan is a creative design and marketing professional in the sports industry. With an eye for graphics and a mind for branding, he’s consulted for a variety of clients to strengthen their public image. After working tirelessly to sharpen his skills, his talent helps organizations refresh their communications to stay relevant in a fast-paced world.

Current Roles & Duties

Evan is currently employed at Triple Crown Sports, where he works with multiple clients to master their marketing. His goal is always to capture the attention of the target audience. For him, graphics are more than stunning colors and clean lines. He wants to find a symbol for the brand that truly connects—one that allows the viewer to glean anything from core values to key benefits.

He uses his expertise in digital media and marketing to help organizations hone their outreach strategies for maximum results. For every dollar spent on design, Evan wants to see that investment pay off many times over. No matter how well-known or successful the brand is, there's always room for improvement.

Career History

Evan has spent ten years in marketing and communications, steadily expanding his portfolio and establishing himself in the industry. He started at the bottom of the ladder as a volunteer intern for the Fort Myers Miracle Baseball Club and worked his way up. Throughout it all, he’s put his ego on the back burner. He prioritizes learning from more experienced graphic designers and communication strategists whenever and wherever possible.

His career was built on a passion for sports. He’s worked at a number of levels for a variety of athletic organizations, including the NCAA Division II, NHL, NBA, and Minor League Baseball. His talents and drive have earned him several promotions over the years, allowing him to test out his skills in new territories.

From Marketing Service Specialist to Interim Sports Information Director, Evan was able to process and evaluate how marketing and communications affected different departments. This kind of insight makes him indispensable as a designer, especially when images can be powerful enough to convey multiple meanings.

Professional Skills and Experience

Evan Tynan is able to highlight what’s so special about who he works with. This means looking past the obvious and delving into how and why games bring us together. All sporting events offer thrills to fans and the chance to see history in the making. They hold the promise of discovering the next big athlete who’s going to change the game as we know it.

Distinguishing one organization from the next takes more than a surface-level understanding of the brand. As a professional with experience on both sides of the field, Evan’s perspective is invaluable to his colleagues and clients alike. Once he has a firm handle on what the organization stands for, he can sketch designs that convey a strong message to the audience.

Accomplishments/Achievements

Tynan is exceptionally proud of the trajectory of his career. He started with nothing but an unpaid internship and managed to climb the ranks one step at a time. This kind of steady growth may not be as newsworthy as instant success stories, but it’s also the best way to ensure career stability.

Tynan has won awards for his artwork in the past, including “The Bird is the Word: Grow Native for Birds” and the 2020 Jazz & Beyond Festival Logo contests, but these awards pale in comparison to the recognition he receives on an ongoing basis.

At Triple Crown Sports, he’s known as a professional who can go above and beyond for his clients. As might be expected, he’s also excellent at being a team player. Knowing when to stand out and when to support isn’t always easy when you’re on the job, but as a talented athlete, it seems to come naturally to Tynan.

Personal Interests/Hobbies

Tynan is an avid golfer, fisherman, and bowler. He also loves college and professional sports alike, particularly the Colorado teams. Whether it’s the Colorado State University Rams, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, or Colorado Rockies, few things make him happier than being in on the action.

These activities are more than just hobbies in Colorado; they’re a way of life. His interests cross over into a variety of other aspects of his life, including his philanthropic work. In addition to volunteering in charity golf tournaments and supporting athletic endeavors like Jerry Schemmel’s Race Across America, he’s also involved in a non-profit venture called Protect the Game.

Launched through Triple Crown Sports, Protect the Game is designed to help former service members become sports officials. Considering the country’s lack of officials, the program creates work opportunities for veterans who want to start the next chapter of their lives. Evan Tynan is particularly proud of the volunteer time he’s given to help vets rewrite their future.

Evan comes home to his devoted dog, Fred. In his off-time, he’s liable to flip on the TV to see who's taking the field that day.
